MALIGNANCY VR

Can you control cancer? Designed by cancer researchers, Dr Ken Dutton-Regester (Excite Science) and Dr Elke Hacker (QUT), in partnership with Real Serious Games, we wanted to use virtual reality to teach people about cancer in a memorable and immersive way. When a metastatic skin cancer suddenly appears in the lung, it’s up to you to use chemo, targeted and immuno-therapies to kill the cancer.

Will you be able to control the cancer?
Users will:

• Play games set inside a virtual human lung.
• Face-off with cancer, as cancer speaks to the player about how it entered the body: “through the mole on your skin”.
• Player uses gun that represents different cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, to eliminate cancer cells from the body.
